Stan Honored for his 15 years of service to Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix
Stan was recently honored by Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix, for his 15 years of service. During that time, Stan did patient visits,11th hour, speaking, Ryan House, pet therapy, and most recently, as shown in the video above, Shabbat Services.

Visiting Asher at Oberlin

Asher Matriculates at Oberlin College
Asher began his college career at Oberlin today. He has a full slate of courses and is very enthused to begin his studies. The picture below shows him with his dad, Eric. In the background is the Oberlin Memorial Arch, dedicated in 1903 to the missionaries and their children slaughtered by the Boxers in China.
Lirit makes the varsity cheerleading team at Horizon High
Lirit tried out unsuccesffuly last year for the cheeing team at Horizon High School, although her best friend Kayla made the team. For one year, Lirit worked very hard on gymnastics, dance and ran almost every day to get herself in shape for this years try-outs. Her hard work and perserverance paid off. As a Sophomore, Lirit, not only made the team but incredibly, made the varsity team as well. We plan to be faithful followers of the sports’ teams at Horizon to cheer our granddaughter’s accomplishment....

The Evolution of a Shofar Blower
Asher’s career as a Shofar blower is shown in this video. He blew the Shofar for the last time as a high school student. Next year he will be away in college. We will miss Aher’s Shofar blowing and will look to this blog to revive our memories of his talents.
